Interserve is working in partnership with Providence Row, who supports the most vulnerable through housing and employment.
WHO IS RISE BAKERY?
Launched in April 2016 by homelessness charity Providence Row, Rise Bakery is a social enterprise which combines a supported bakery training scheme for people affected by homelessness with an online luxury brownie gift-box business.
The scheme builds on baking skills and confidence and provides work-experience while they are supported back into education, further training or employment by the charity.
All Rise Bakery’s revenue is invested back into a ten-week bakery trainee scheme, where they teach different aspects of baking to people affected by homelessness in a safe and encouraging environment.
RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
Our partnership with Providence Row will see us introduce their social enterprise ‘Rise Bakery’ into a number of key central government contracts. We will be working together with our supply chain to develop a long term growth plan that supports people affected by homelessness.
