Equipping people with meaningful skills and qualifications is in everybody’s interest. This calls for high-quality environments that support learning and generate maximum value.

Interserve works to improve educational outcomes for pupils, staff and communities across the UK and Ireland.

Our track record of delivering, operating and maintaining effective learning environments is second to none. We have invested in 19 educational PFI projects and remain committed to these long-term partnerships, and support over 700 schools daily as well as a range of universities.

Having worked with hundreds of educational establishments, we know the business of education. We understand that classroom design can be a catalyst for innovation and collaborative teaching that helps students to reach their full potential. Our innovative, sustainable and cost-efficient solutions address educational challenges, help increase teaching capacity and enhance learning environments.

Our education teams work in the communities they belong to, which means that they understand local challenges. We support nurseries, schools, academies, colleges and universities with a wide range of capabilities, including:

  • Financing, design, construction and refurbishment of educational facilities
  • Delivering facilities management and support services in universities, colleges and schools
  • Enabling after-hours community access
  • Promoting healthy eating through our Eden brand with menu design and catering provision in 700 schools.
And as a major employer, we recognise that we also have a wider societal role to play, so we offer apprenticeships and work placements in the communities we serve and provide training and development to help our people gain new skills.

We are also proud of the contribution we make to education via the Interserve Employee Foundation. Our people run voluntary initiatives including story-telling in schools, promoting adult literacy and even building an early learning centre in India.
